"As-tu déjà voulu quelque chose, que tu sais que tu ne devrais pas avoir; et le plus tu ne devrais pas l'avoir, le plus tu le veux. Alors un jour tu le reçois, et c'est si bon pour toi". Une petite histoire à propos des nouveaux corps, du pouvoir de la dénégation et un état de non-soleil. Deux corps infantiles flottent dans une boule du cyberspace. Il sont simultanément connectés avec deux corps subconscients à l'arrière-plan. L'essai d'unification et de métamorphose est interrompu par une partie, pendant ce temps l'autre partie est libérée. Un regard au dessus de l'épaule signifie la destruction. Les sources de la bande son sont des fragments de voix de l'enfance, via des chansons de Michael Jackson jeune et de Stevie Wonder.


"Did you ever want something, that you know you shouldn't have, the more you know you shouldn't have it, the more you want it. And then one day you get it, and it's so good to you." A short story about new bodies, the power of denial and a state of no sunshine. Two infantile bodies are floating in a cyberspace ball. They are simultaneously connected with two subconscious bodies in the background. The attempt of unification and metamorphosis is interrupted by one part, mean-while the other part is liberated. A glance over the shoulder means destruction. The sources for the soundtrack are fragments of the childhood voices of early Michael Jackson and Stevie Wonder songs.

Biographie


Björn Melhus est né en 1966 à Kirchheim/Teck, en Allemagne. Il a étudié le cinéma et la vidéo à l'école d'art de Braunschweig de 1990 à 1997. Il obtient une bourse de recherche du DAAD pour le Californian Institute of Arts, à Los Angeles, de 1997 à 1998. De 2000 à 2002, il est en résidence à New York, au ISCP. 1.


Bjoern Melhus, born 1966 in Kirchheim/Teck, Germany, studied film/video at the Braunschweig School of Arts (1990-1997) and recieved a DAAD fellowship for the California Institute of the Arts, Los Angeles 1997-1998. From 2001-2002 residency in New York at the ISCP.1.
