Nous ne souhaitons pas commenter, expliquer ou justifier notre travail, même si nous en discutons volontiers et essayons de répondre aux questions qui nous sont posées. Néanmoins, nous avons joint ici un texte de Vincent Dieutre (déjà utilisé pour la Biennale de Lyon) à propos de "juillet-août". Élégie d'Entrechaux (le Moi doute): C'est l'été. Quand? "Juillet-août" de quelle année? Peu importe: c'est l'été en général. Une chaleur vibrante qui incendie les couleurs du super 8, brûle les contrastes du noir et blanc, consume les plans. Un été à deux voix tissé de chansons américaines, de chats caressants, de mistral et de ballades au Ventoux; d'ailleurs, il ne s'est pas passé grand-chose cet été-là; en tout cas, on a oublié. Restent quelques petits riens, des draps blancs qu'on froisse au réveil, du linge qu'on met à sécher au soleil de plomb, un catalogue de plantes vertes que l'on consulte pour jardiner; les haïkus fugitifs de l'été d'un couple, un homme et une femme qui ont décidé d'être heureux et émettent en cinéma l'hypothèse folle du bonheur. Bien sûr, il y a des trous, des manques...Bien sûr, ce petit bonheur solaire est fragile; si fragile que l'on entend presque la mort y sourdre, tapie derrière le tremblement gracile du super 8...Mais un film est là, indéniable... Es ist ganz allgemein Sommer. Vibrierende Hitze setzt die Farben des Super 8-Films in Flammen, verbrennt die schwarzweißen Kontraste, zerstört die Aufnahmen. Es ist ein zweistimmiger Sommer, gewoben aus amerikanischen Liedern, schmeichelnden Katzen, dem Mistral und Balladen in Ventoux. Natürlich ist dieses kleine sonnige Glück zerbrechlich, so zerbrechlich, dass man beinahe den Tod dahinter lauern hört, hinter dem zarten Flackern des Super 8-Films. A two-voiced summer weaved by American songs, caressing cats, the mistral-wind and ballads at Ventoux ; in fact, nothing much happened that summer ; in any case, it's been forgotten. There are little nothings left, white sheets rumpled in the morning, laundry put out to dry in the blazing sun, a catalogue of green plants consulted for gardening, the fugitive haikus of a couple's summer, a man and a woman who have decided to be happy and who put forward the mad hypothesis of happiness in film. Of course, there are holes, missing parts… Of course, this little sunny happiness is fragile; so fragile that one can almost hear death lurking behind the slender trembling of the super 8 film... Eva Truffaut est née en France, pendant la guerre d'Algérie, le jour de l'accord entre la Confédération suisse et la République fédérale d'Allemagne en faveur des Suisses victimes de la persécution nazie et l'année de la sortie de "One, two, three" de Billy Wilder. Elle joue et chante pour Anne Benhaïem, Serge Bozon, Jean-Paul Civeyrac, Vincent Dieutre, Boris Lehman, Pierre Léon (Spy films), Arnold Pasquier, Jacques Taroni… Elle aime travailler avec Christophe, à l'oreille et à l'intuition. Christophe Atabekian est né en France, à deux pas et quelques années du lieu de naissance d'Eva, alors qu'une bombe fait exploser, en plein vol, un appareil de la Swissair de type CC-990, près de Würinghem et l'année de la sortie de "The private life of Sherlock Holmes" de Billy Wilder. Il chante, joue et bricole pour Anne Benhaïem, Pierre Léon, Arnold Pasquier, Mathieu Riboulet, Olivier Seror… Il aime le travail avec Eva et les faux-raccords dans l'axe.


Eva Truffaut wurde während des Algerienkriegs in Frankreich geboren, Christoph Atabekian nur einige Schritte und Jahre von Evas Geburt entfernt. Sie spielen und singen für Anne Benhaïem, Serge Bozon, Jean-Paul Civeyrac, Vincent Dieutre, Boris Lehman, Pierre Léon, Arnold Pasquier, Jacques Taroni… Sie arbeitet gerne mit Christophe, mit Gehör und Intuition. Er mag die Arbeit mit Eva und fehlangepasste Aufnahmen.


Eva Truffaut was born in France, during the Algerian war, on the day of the agreement between the Swiss Confederation and the Federal Republic of Germany in favour of the Swiss victims of the nazi persecution, the year of the release of Billy Wilder's "One, two, three". He sings, acts and tinkers about for Anne Benhaïem, Pierre Léon, Arnold Pasquier, Mathieu Riboulet, Olivier Seror… He loves working with Eva and the mismatched reverse shots.

Filmer est, pour nous, une aventure ("ensemble d'activités, d'expériences, qui comportent du risque, de la nouveauté, et auxquelles on accorde une valeur humaine" in Petit Robert). Qu'y a-t-il de plus heureux que de faire un travail que l'on aime avec ceux que l'on aime ? Pourquoi ne pas faire de films, quand en faire est un besoin et un plaisir ? Si le cinéma c'est vingt-quatre mensonges par seconde et la vidéo, vingt-cinq, alors, peut-être mentons-nous comme nous respirons ?





Filming is, for us, an adventure ("a series of activities, of experiences, that consists in risk and novelty, and to which human value is accorded " Petit Robert dictionary). Is there anything happier than to work for something you love, with someone you love ? Why not making films, if making them is a need and a pleasure ? If cinema is twenty-four lies per second, and video twenty-five, then maybe we are compulsive liars ?
