Depuis fin 1994, j'effectue un travail (sous deux formes : vidéo et performance) qui consiste en la reprise de chansons existantes et qui, d'une manière ou d'une autre, parlent de l'art : ses inspirations, ses conditions, son milieu, la folie des grandeurs qu'il inspire. (...) Par le fait que j'enlève tout décorum aux chansons lorsque je les interprète, le spectateur est renvoyé à leur texte seul et, la plupart du temps, à la relativité de son contenu. L'ironie et l'ambiguïté sont ainsi les maîtres-mots de ce travail.

Seit 1994 nehme ich bereits existierende Lieder auf (auf zwei Arten: Video und Performance), die von Kunst handeln : von ihren Inspirationen, Bedingungen, ihrem Milieu und von dem Grössenwahn, zu dem sie treibt. (...) Ich nehme sie aus dem Kontext heraus, wenn ich sie interpretiere, so dass der Zuhörer sich einzig und allein auf den Text konzentrieren kann. Ironie und Zwiespältigkeit begleiten meine Arbeit.


Since 1994 I have been doing my work (in two forms: video and parformance ) which consist of covering existing songs which, in one way or another, speak of art: its inspiration, conditions, its milieu, he craze for grand things which it inspires. (...) By removing all decorum from the songs as I interpret them, the spectator would refer to the text alone and most of time, to the relativity of its content. Irony and ambiguity are the words that discribe this work.
