Deux images dans un écran, l'une montre un personnage et l'autre représente des mots écrits et des signes. J'ai demandé à ces participants de tenter de lire et de prononcer ces derniers. Le mot écrit a une double interprétation. Il indique la signification par la lecture et il est porteur de sens par la prononciation (l'ouïe). On lit les mots écrits pour acquérir des informations mais la fonction du mot n'est pas parfaite. Le mot ne signifie pas ce qu'il signifie. C'est le même problème pour l'écriture, le caractère ou la lettre. Si on ne connait pas l'écriture, l'information ne se transmet pas.

Das geschriebene Wort hat eine doppelte Interpretationsweise. Es hat seine Bedeutung in der Schrift und im der Aussprache. Man liest die Worte, um Informationen zu bekommen, aber die Funktion des Wortes ist nicht perfekt. Das Wort bedeutet nicht, was es bedeutet. Das gleiche Problem auch für den schriftlichen Ausdruck, das Zeichen oder für den Buchstaben. Wenn man die Schrift nicht kennt, dann kann man auch nicht die Information erraten.

Two images on a screen, on the former, we can see a character, on the latter, we can see written words and signs. I asked the audience to try to read and pronunce those images. The written word has a double interpretation, it shows the meaning thanks to reading and the sense thanks to the pronunciation (hearing). We read the words to gain the information but the function of the word is not perfect. Words do not mean what they mean. It is the same problem for the writting, the character or the letter. If we don't know the writting, the information cannot be transmitted.
