Le film se déroule
de nos jours à Rome. Il décrit la première rencontre entre
un père et sa fille. Fondé sur une histoire vraie, le film est construit
sur une improvisation des acteurs à partir déléments
autobiographiques, sans scénario préétabli. Le titre originel: A la frontière entre le Missouri (USA) et la Gartabella (quartier ouvrier
de Rome) évoque un lieu imaginaire pour une rencontre absurde, la rencontre
dune vie.
About The Players
Victor Cavallo is an actor, a poet and a writer.
Born in Rome in "la Garbatella" a working class neighborhood, after
philosophy studies and "barricades" Victor started poetry readings in
the late sixties and promoted the "1st International Poetry Festival"
in Rome in 1970. At the same time collaborated with avant-garde theatre directors
Giuliano Vasilico in " Le 120 giornate di Sodoma" and "L'uomo di
Babilonia" in '73, and with Meme` Perlini from "Locus Solus" in'74
to "Il Risveglio della Primavera" in'76. With these same directors Victor
went on tour to London, Amsterdam, Paris and New York (La Mama theatre) in '77
and '82.
Victor's theatre work includes "Chaka" by Massimo Luconi, plays by Alessandra
Vanzi represented at the "Teatro Colosseo" (Rome), street performances,
and a longtime collaboration with Simone Carella from the "Beat 72"
to the present at "Il Teatro degli Artisti"(Rome).
His writings, poetry and improvisational work have successfully been represented
in Rome over two decades, those include "Scarface", "Kabiria",
"Stalker" and the most recent "Summer Rolls".
His film credits include work with directors Mauro Bolognini, Mimmo Calopresti,
Francesca Archibugi, Marco Tullio Giordana, Nando Cicero, and in films as "Tragedia
di un uomo Ridicolo" by Bernardo Bertolucci, "L'Amico Immaginario"
by Nico D'Alessandria, "Porzus" by Renzo Martinelli and a role on the
TV series "La Piovra" .
Victor Cavallo lives in Rome, writes poetry and is an ardent fan of the "Roma"
socker team.
Carola Spadoni is in her first screen role.
