 Alors que les chaussures européennes menacent de tomber en décadence, les chaussures américaines, elles, non. La chaussure américaine ne peut se détériorer puisqu' historiquement elle n'existe pas. Pour les Américains, Dieu crée la chaussure à chaque instant la chaussure devient mot, le mot cherche sa chaussure mais la chaussure est déjà tombée en désuétude et ainsi le mot, tout déchaussé, se fane et tombe dans l'oubli.  Während der europäische Schuh ständig droht zu verfallen kann ein amerikanischer Schuh nicht verfallen, da er geschichtlich nicht existiert. Den Amerikanern schafft Gott alle paar Momente den Schuh. Der Schuh wird Wort, das Wort sucht seinen Schuh aber der Schuh ist bereits altmodisch geworden. Ohne Schuhe, das Wort verblüht und fällt in Vergessenheit.  Whereas the European shoe is permanently faced with the threat of its own deterioration, the American shoe is not. An American shoe can't detoriate, since historically it doesn't exist. An American believes that God creates the shoe each and every second. The shoe becomes the word, the word searches for its shoe but the shoe has expired and the word stripped of its shoe, withers and dies.  ___ Note biographique Tristan U. En 2004, il est artiste en résidence au Studio National des Arts Contemporains Le Fresnoy. Tristan U. Christann wurde am 19. Januar 1976 in Einbeck, Deutschland, geboren. Er schloss 2003 von der UdK Berlin Bildende Kunst ab. In 2004 war er eingeladene Künstler am Nazionalen Studio für zeitgenössische Künste in Lille-Tourcoing, Frankreich (Studio National des Arts Contemporains Le Fresnoy). Tristan U. Christann was born on January 19th, 1976 in Einbeck, Germany. He graduated in 2003 from the Berlin College of Fine Arts.
