We look forward to seeing you in Paris from 24 to 30 november

From 24 to 30 November 2025, the Rencontres Internationales will, over seven days, create a space for discovery and reflection dedicated to contemporary practices in moving images. Between new cinema and contemporary art, this unique platform in Europe offers a rare perspective on contemporary audiovisual creation: documentary approaches, experimental fiction, video works and hybrid forms.

Screenings, carte blanche, performances, a forum and discussions await you from Monday onwards, through an original itinerary across seven iconic venues: the Jeu de Paume, the Forum des Images, the MEP Paris, the Institut du Monde Arabe, the Musée de la Chasse et de la Nature, the Studio Bastille and the Cité Internationale des arts.

Opening

Monday 24 november 2025, at 7:30 pm
Inaugural session

We invite you to an opening screening at 7:30 pm featuring a surprise presentation of six rare films, shown as French and international premieres.

Programme

The programme will feature numerous exclusive events. Among the highlights of this edition, three exceptional carte blanche invitations will be entrusted to major figures in contemporary creation: Laure Prouvost – whose work questions the relationships between language, image and perception, inviting audiences into an immersive, sensory experience – and Albert Serra – whose radical cinema explores the limits of fiction, interrogating time and vertigo. This edition will also spotlight the artist Antoni Muntadas, a key figure on the contemporary art scene, renowned for his critical exploration of communication and the media.

This new edition invites you to discover more than 120 works premiering — French, international or world premieres — by artists such as Uriel Orlow (Switzerland), Younès Ben Slimane (Tunisia), Lin Htet Aung (Myanmar), Nanouk Emmen (Netherlands), Lisa Freeman (Ireland), Martí Madaula (Spain), Pink Twins (Finland), Søren Thilo Funder (Denmark), Kim Richard Adler Mejdahl (Denmark), Ewa Effiom (Belgium/Nigeria), Melanie Manchot (United Kingdom), and many others.
