8. How do I register an entry?
You may choose between two types of registration (please choose either one OR the other):
OPTION 1: WITH THE ONLINE ENTRY FORM (WITHOUT POSTAL SENDING)
- Before filling out the entry form, you must post the required material online: video + synopsis or presentation text + biography + filmography and/or exhibition list. In other words, your video must be uploaded onto a website (like Vimeo, Youtube, Dailymotion, or a personal web site) and your texts must be available on a web page. We strongly recommend using the online service offered by VIMEO www.vimeo.com: it is free, it allows you to create an access password, it preserves the video resolution, and it offers a description section where you can paste relevant text material.
- Once the required material (video + synopsis or presentation text + biography + filmography and/or exhibition list) is available online, please fill out the entry form here. On the entry form, you will have to include the web links to the required material.
- Material sent by email is not accepted.
IMPORTANT: Online video platforms (Vimeo, Youtube, Dailymotion) often limit the size of the file you can upload. For example, a free account on VIMEO has a limit of 500 Mo per uploaded video file. We advise using .MP4 video file format, which has an excellent compression/quality ratio. Or you may use the .VOB file of a DVD of your work. The .VOB file is in the 'VIDEO-TS' folder of the DVD. You will just have to copy the .VOB file onto your computer, then change it from a .VOB file to a .MPEG file. You will then be able to upload and play it.
OPTION 2: WITH THE CLASSIC ENTRY FORM, SENT VIA REGULAR MAIL
- Submissions should be sent by mail, with a printed entry form to fill in online. You must fill out the online entry form, print it, sign it and include it in your package with the required documentation (DVD or BLU-RAY, texts, images, etc. - specifics on what documentation to include can be found on the entry form).
- PLEASE NOTE : if you wish to submit multiple entries, you must fill out ONE ENTRY FORM PER ENTRY. An entry without a form is an entry that we will not be able to consider.
- Schools, distributors, and production companies that would like to submit MORE THAN 10 SUBMISSIONS are not obliged to fill out the online entry form. This applies ONLY to schools, distributors, and production companies.
9. Which video formats can I use to submit an entry?
OPTION 1: WITH THE ONLINE ENTRY FORM (WITHOUT POSTAL SENDING)
- There is NOTHING to send by mail, and the submission format consists of the video file that you must upload.
-Before filling out the entry form, you must post the required material online: video + synopsis or presentation text + biography + filmography and/or exhibition list. In other words, your video must be uploaded onto a website (like Vimeo, Youtube, Dailymotion, or a personal web site) and your texts must be available on a web page. ATTENTION: links to files to download are NOT accepted, links to Wetransfer.com etc. are NOT accepted. Please enter ONLY links to web pages on which your video and your text material can be directly seen online. Otherwise, it will be not possible to consider your entry.
In the entry form, you will have to include the web links to the required material.
- Material sent by email is not accepted.
- IMPORTANT: Online video platforms (Vimeo, Youtube, Dailymotion) often limit the size of the file you can upload. For example, a free account on VIMEO has a limit of 500 Mo per uploaded video file. You will just have to copy the .VOB file onto your computer, then change it from a .VOB file to a .MPEG file. You will then be able to upload and play it.

OPTION 2: WITH THE CLASSIC ENTRY FORM, SENT VIA REGULAR MAIL
- ALL copies of films and videos that are part of your submission must be received in DVD or BLU-RAY format. For films and videos, no other format will be accepted. No master video will be accepted, nor will originals be accepted.
- PLEASE NOTE: Before mailing anything, verify that your DVD or BLU-RAY is wholly readable on DVD/BLU-RAY players that are currently sold in commercial markets. PAL/NTSC discs are accepted.
- Audio and multimedia entries are accepted in CD, CD-rom, DVD or BLU-RAY format.
- PLEASE NOTE : do not attach any labels or stickers to your DVD, BLU-RAY, CD or CD-rom, as this can interfere with playback.
Put your DVD or BLU-RAY in the mailing envelope without a plastic box or case.
10. I would like to submit multiple entries and I would like to send multiple films or videos. Can I record multiple films or videos on the same DVD or Blu-Ray, or can I upload a file containing multiple works?
OPTION 1: WITH THE ONLINE ENTRY FORM (WITHOUT POSTAL SENDING)
